DET AWARDS WEEKEND is an immersive celebration of Detroit's vibrant culture, showcasing the city's rich artistic heritage, community spirit, and innovative talent through a series of prestigious awards shows and engaging events. This weekend-long event features four major awards ceremonies: the Detroit Choice Honors, INDIEFLIX Choice Awards, Fashion Choice Awards, and Detroit Choice Health Care Awards.
In addition to the awards shows, the weekend will offer 12 stellar events, including master classes led by renowned creatives in fashion and film, a welcoming reception to kick off the festivities, and a Gospel Brunch that highlights the city's musical heritage. Other highlights include the DET FASH-Nic Stellar Fashion showcase, a friendly Celebrity Basketball Game, and a Community Engagement Event at the Riverwalk in collaboration with DMC Hospitals. The weekend will culminate in the DET COMMUNITY Picnic, fostering connections between celebrities, local hosts, and the community. Attendees will also be treated to live entertainment featuring both celebrity performances and local talent, ensuring a dynamic and memorable experience.
